Lilian Wells starts at the age of 14 as a Bloomsbury couturière. She soon shows that she masters the art of couture, making beautiful dresses for the aristocratic families who inhabit the mansions around Bloomsbury Square. Lilian spent many years perfecting her excellent sewing skills in a small room at Hamilton House, becoming known as “The Seamstress of Bloomsbury”. Her work has been admired and frequented by many great aristocratic families and royalty from around the world …
… And now, in accordance with her wishes, her original 1940s patterns and designs are revived!
